DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - One of the top infectious disease experts in North Texas says there's a reason the Coronavirus is so hard on patients.
From Methodist Health Systems, Doctor Edward Dominguez tells NBC 5 this virus causes inflammation and fluid build-up in multiple parts of the lungs, making it especially hard for patients to get a breath to supply oxygen to the body.
He also says this virus can mutate even faster than the viruses that cause the flu, making it even more challenging to develop a vaccine.
