United States Attorney for the Northern District of Texas

Four alleged gang members in the Dallas area have been charged in a federal drug trafficking case involving large quantities of methamphetamine.

A criminal complaint filed April 14, 2026, charges Ventrous Deshun James, Joseph Lewis Morgan, Dionyuta Henry and David Beaty with conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Texas.

The charges stem from a joint investigation launched in October 2025 targeting members of the “007 Bonton Bloods” street gang. As part of the probe, law enforcement agents searched multiple residences in Seagoville, where they reported finding significant amounts of drugs and evidence of trafficking activity.

According to the complaint, agents seized about 22.7 pounds of methamphetamine, 4.6 pounds of methamphetamine tablets, 1.6 pounds of cocaine, nearly 78 pounds of marijuana and more than 52 grams of marijuana wax. Authorities also recovered more than $61,000 in cash and drug trafficking paraphernalia.

Investigators said they also seized more than 25 firearms, including three equipped with illegal machine gun conversion devices, along with additional switches, ammunition and magazines.

If convicted, each defendant faces up to 40 years in federal prison. All four remain in custody pending further court proceedings.

The Dallas Police Department (DPD) Special Investigation Division (SID), the DPD Gang Unit, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, and Firearms (ATF) Group VII and the FBI Safe Streets Violent Gang Task Force, Dallas Division investigated the case. Assistant U.S. Attorney Caroline Poore is prosecuting the case.
