FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) - Trinity Metro is now offering free rides for job-seekers.
"COVID-19 has immensely impacted all of our lives and careers, and we're just trying to do something to help," says Tiffany Moore-Turner, general manager of operations at Trinity Metro. "Many Tarrant County residents have suffered from job losses during the COVID-19 pandemic and are looking for new job opportunities."
The free rides are available on all of Trinity Metro's services, including buses, TEXRail and the TRE.
"All any rider has to do is provide communication from the hiring company to the bus operator or train conductor," says Moore-Turner, "and that can be in the form of an email or text message or flyer showing the date of the interview from the hiring company and/or the job fair."
Passengers can also ride ZIPZONE services for free by obtaining a one-time code from Trinity Metro customer care at 817-215-8600.
The free rides for job-seekers will continue indefinitely.
