FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) Two Fort Worth homes have heavy damage from fires that may have been sparked by lightning.
The homes are only about a mile apart and the fires erupted as heavy thunderstorms with frequent lightning rocked North Texas.
The first broke out around 10 p.m. as the first round of storms moved in. A home caught fire on Giselle Drive near Trinity Boulevard and Precinct Line Road.
Several hours later, with a another wave of thunderstorms passing through, flames torched a home on Shoveler Trail near Trinity and Norwood.
Despite heavy damage at both homes, no injuries were reported.
