The Crespi Estate at 5619 Walnut Hill Lane in Preston Hollow — a 27,092-square-foot French-style chateau built in 1938 — sits on 15.69 acres that include three adjacent lots. Designed by Swiss architect Maurice Fatio for Italian Count Pio Crespi, the property has long been a landmark in one of North Texas’ most exclusive neighborhoods. Over the decades it has hosted presidents, dignitaries and international figures including Coco Chanel and the Duke and Duchess of Windsor.

Inside, the home offers 10 bedrooms and 17 bathrooms, along with a ballroom, Art Deco bar, two wine cellars, conservatory, library imported from France, media room and a 3,000-square-foot primary suite. Later enhancements by noted architect Peter Marino added a 3,300-plus-square-foot guesthouse and a 4,800-plus-square-foot entertainment pavilion complete with a 19-seat theater.

Listing agents Pogir Pogir and Diane DuVall of Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty call it “Dallas’ most legendary estate” and a rare chance to own a true architectural masterpiece. The property first appeared publicly in recent years and remains one of the highest-priced residential listings in Texas.
