The Tyler school board has voted unanimously to change the names of both of its high schools, John Tyler and Robert E. Lee.
Tyler was the nation's 10th president. He was born in the 18th century and was President in an era when the Whigs were still a thing. He was a slave holder which is why activists have been pushing to take his name off the high school.
It's not clear what the new names of the two schools will be.
