DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - As word spread yesterday about remarkable results in treating the Coronavirus with an experimental drug called Remdesivir, there was some satisfaction at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas where two of the drug's clinical trials are underway.
As word of the drug's early success was released, Trump administration immunologist Anthony Fauci said yesterday that data from a Coronavirus drug trial testing remdesivir showed "quite good news" that sets a new standard of care for Coronavirus patients.
Remdesivir was developed to fight Ebola, another deadly virus-caused illness.
