A gunman is on the run in Watauga where a police officer was shot in the arm last night.
As reported by NBC 5, a car was stolen about 9:30 p.m. During the attempt to stop the car, the thief bailed out and fired at least one shot, wounding the officer who is expected to recover.
The gunman got away but the manhunt continued through the night.
Watauga Police got help from neighboring police departments including a Fort Worth Police helicopter, but the 'copter was grounded early this morning because of weather.
