One Left Dead After Hit-And-Run In Dallas

DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - One person is dead after a hit-and-run crash in Northwest Dallas.

It happened around 1 a.m. Sunday morning at the intersection of Harry Hines Boulevard and Southwell Road. Police say an SUV rear-ended a pickup and a 2-door coupe.

The driver of the pickup was not injured, but the driver of the coupe was pronounced dead at the scene. Police tell NBC 5 that two people in the SUV tried to flee the scene, but were detained by a witness.

The driver of the SUV is expected to be charged with intoxication manslaughter and intoxication assault.
