Tarrant County Jail Reports Increase In Inmates With COVID-19

TARRANT COUNTY SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT (1080 KRLD)- The Tarrant County Sheriff's Department reports a huge jump in the number of Tarrant County jail inmates testing positive for coronavirus.  

According to the Sheriff's office 41 inmates have the virus.  Last week there were five inmates who tested positive.  Additionally, four jail employees have also tested positive for COVID-19.

The Sheriff's office says they are all in quarantine and doing well.  They are trying to figure out the source of the infection, and the department is doing things like taking temperatures every day and making everyone wear masks.
