DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - A few afternoon and early evening storms are possible mainly north of the I-20/30 corridors, as outflow boundaries from morning activity in Oklahoma move into or across the Red River Valley.

The expected times for severe weather is 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday.

This will not be widespread or a wash-out for outdoor events across this area. However, interests across our northern counties need to be weather aware for the potential of gusty downburst winds, lightning strikes, and possibly small hail with the strongest storms.

Otherwise, highs will be in the lower-mid 90s with light south breezes around 10 mph.

We continue to monitor the potential for strong to marginally severe storms developing this afternoon/evening across North TX. The approx. timing for stronger storms is around 3-6 PM. Stay weather aware, especially if you have outdoor plans! #dfwwx #txwx #texomawx pic.twitter.com/v5ckQcfCmj
