DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - Students at Woodrow Wilson High School in Dallas will be getting a place for peaceful break in the middle of their day
It was an idea by two teachers at the East Dallas high school, to turn an un-used courtyard on school property into a garden where students could study or relax. According to the Lakewood Advocate, the administration loved it and consturction is underway. During spring break, students, teachers and volunteers will plant plants, paint flower boxes and benches, and install sculptures made by students from recycled materials.
The community also pitched in, donating hoses, netting and garden tools. The 'Peace Garden' at Woodrow Wilson High School should be completed by the end of the school year.
