BURLESON (1080 KRLD) - A North Texas man is locked-up on a murder charge after police say he shot his neighbor.
Burleson Police say they got a 9-1-1 call from Patrick Murphy Monday afternoon, claiming his neighbor was inside his house in the 600 block of Lynnewood Ave.
Deanna Phillips of Burleson Police says before police arrived there was an argument that led to a shooting. 64-year old Alibius Zoerner was pronounced dead just before 5:00 p.m. at John Peter Smith Hospital.
Phillips says this is not considered a 'Castle Law' case of self defense.
"When they were speaking with the DA they suggested we go ahead and arrest for murder." she said. "He has been cooperative with investigators."
Phillips says the two men had a history with one another, although could not elaborate.
