FORT WORTH (1080 KRLD) - TEXRail will now begin general passenger service on Thursday.
Trinity Metro says the Federal Railroad Administration has now cleared the entire 27-mile corridor between downtown Fort Worth and DFW Airport. That was originally scheduled to have been done in time to start service this past weekend, but the partial government shutdown delayed that.
There will be no fares collected this month and there has been no word from Trinity Metro on whether that will be extended due to the delay.
