DALLAS (KRLD) - Uber may make Dallas a regional headquarters.
The shared-ride company is considering a location on the edge of Deep Ellum for an office that could bring 3,000 jobs.
"We certainly have heard they are giving Dallas a good eye and we are among the top choices they are looking at," said Kourtny Garrett of Downtown Dallas Inc.
Garrett says the company is impressed by the workforce, the downtown community and the workforce availability.
Dallas County Commissioners are considering tax breaks if the company decides to open the regional office here.
