DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - The storm that's brought sleet and freezing rain to parts of North Texas has led to dozens of cancellations at DFW Airport and Love Field. The two airports had several dozen cancellations Wednesday and dozens of other delays.
Thursday morning, airlines canceled 24 more flights at DFW. No flights had been canceled at Love Field Thursday morning, but several flights were delayed.
At DFW, the airport kept its USO office open overnight for active duty and retired service members and their families who were stuck at the airport.
American Airlines is waiving fees for people scheduled to fly out of DFW through Thursday and want to change their plans. The airline will not charge additional fees for people who reschedule to fly through Sunday.
The same weather system led to more than a dozen cancellations Thursday morning in Houston. Weather was also causing problems at Delta's hub in Atlanta.
