DALLAS (1080 KRLD) - A woman towing a UHaul trailer led police from several agencies on a chase through North Texas early Monday morning. The woman had pulled into a parking lot in Highland Park around 1:00 am Monday.

The woman was driving a pick-up truck and carrying another car on the trailer. Highland Park police say an officer spotted the woman in a parking lot near Mockingbird and Preston.

Police say the woman's trailer had started dragging on the ground. The officer stopped to check on the woman, but police say the woman drove off.

The officer started following the woman, and the Dallas County Sheriff's Department joined the chase.

Officers and deputies followed the woman, and police say she started heading east on I-30, exited at Jim Miller and started driving west. She went north on 35E to the President George Bush Turnpike.

Police say she hit another car on a city street in Plano and continued north on Central Expressway to the Sam Rayburn Tollway.

Police used spike strips, which flattened tires on the trailer. The woman stopped in Frisco, near Lebanon Road and Ruth Borchardt Road, around 2:30 am.

She was arrested there. Police do not know why she drove away from the first officer.

No one was hurt.
