KRLD Traffic Alerts For The Week Of June 24

FORT WORTH – I-30 will be closed at Chapel Creek Boulevard for construction Sunday, 6/30 and Monday, 7/1 from 9 p.m. to 6 a.m., weather permitting.  Westbound I-30 will be closed Sunday. 6/30 and eastbound I-30 will be closed on Monday, 7/1.  Motorists will be detoured to the frontage road.  Alternate routes are advised.

DALLAS NORTH TOLLWAY - Friday, June 28, through the morning of Sunday, June 30 (Nightly)


Various north- and southbound lanes between I-35E and Harvest Hill Road will be closed nightly from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. One lane in each direction will remain open.

Various north- and southbound entrance and exit ramps between I-35E and Harvest Hill Road will be closed nightly from 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. Only one entrance and exit ramp will be closed at a time.

FT. Worth – NB I-35W will be CLOSED between E. 4th Street and the I.M. Terrell Exit for construction work on the TrinityMetro bridge project, starting at 10 pm on Saturday, 6/29 through 2 am Monday, 7/1.

DALLAS – Various southbound lanes of US 75 between I-635 and Royal Lane at White Rock Creek will close for the next three to four weekends  with continuous work on Saturdays between 10 p.m. and ending at 5 a.m. on Mondays for bridge deck  and full depth concrete repairs.

The closures will begin at 10 p.m. on Saturday, June 14 and will continue until Monday, July 1 at 5 a.m.

Motorists are asked to seek alternate routes and expect delays. Detour signage will be in place nightly for each closure.

DALLAS NORTH TOLLWAY - Sunday, June 23, through the morning of Friday, June 28 (Nightly)

Various north- and southbound lanes between Interstate 35E and Harvest Hill Road will be closed nightly from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. One lane in each direction will remain open

Various north- and southbound entrance and exit ramps between I-35E and Harvest Hill Road will be closed nightly from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. Only one entrance and exit ramp will be closed at a time.

The North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) is restoring the speed limit to 65 mph on the Dallas North Tollway (DNT) between Harvest Hill Road (south of Interstate 635) and I-35E now that the DNT maintenance project has concluded.

The new speed limits will go into effect after signs are installed at appropriate locations throughout the affected road sections.

DFW CONNECTOR - GRAPEVINE - Northbound SH 121 at Bass Pro Dr. - 8 PM to 6 AM each night on 6/24-7/1

Lanes Open: Two lanes open.

Lanes Closed: Three right lanes closed.

Southbound SH 121 at Bass Pro Dr. - 8 PM to 6 AM on 6/25 - Lanes Open: No lanes open.

Lanes Closed: All lanes closed.

Detour: Traffic will be detoured to the southbound SH 121 frontage road.

Southbound International Pkwy. north of DFW Airport - 8 PM to 6 AM each night on 6/26-6/27 and 7/1, 8 PM on 6/28 to 5 PM on 6/30

Lanes Open: No lanes open.

Lanes Closed: All lanes closed.

Detour: Traffic will be detoured to Main St.

SAM RAYBURN TOLLWAY – Monday, June 17, through the morning of Wednesday, July 3 (Nightly)

All lanes of Lake Vista Drive, including the U-turns, between north- and southbound SH 121 (the SRT frontage road) will be closed nightly from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Monday, June 17, through the morning of Wednesday, July 3.

Northbound Lake Vista Drive detour: Motorists will turn right onto SH 121 and travel over Interstate 35E, where they will make a left onto the I-35E frontage road and another left onto westbound SH 121. Motorists will then continue west to Lake Vista Drive where they will turn right.

Southbound Lake Vista Drive detour: Motorists will turn right onto SH 121 and make a U-turn at MacArthur Boulevard. Motorists will then continue east to Lake Vista Drive where they will turn right.

DOWNTOWN DALLAS - Downtown traffic closures - – A building implosion and traffic closures associated with the event are planned for Saturday, June 29, between 6 a.m. and approximately 10 a.m., in a Safety Zone generally bounded by Pacific Avenue, North Field Street, San Jacinto Street and North St. Paul Street. Attached is a map of the Safety Zone that will be in place Saturday morning.

Street closures will be in effect at 6 a.m. and will be lifted by 10 a.m. Off-duty Dallas Police officers will be providing traffic control and blocking streets inside the Safety Zone. The implosion is scheduled to take place at approximately 7:30 a.m. in the 500 block of North Ervay St.
