AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas

We have reached the final week of the Texas High School Football season.  The dream of winning a state championship remains alive for exactly 24 teams.

Starting Wednesday at AT&T Stadium, hundreds of thousands of fans will watch some of the finest prep athletes in the state - and the nation - as they look to etch the names of their teams in the record book forever.  It is a spectacle unlike anything else.

Galena Park North Shore, Aledo, Waco La Vega, Grandview and McLean will try to repeat as champions this week, while Mart has the rare opportunity to go back-to-back-to-back.

Several schools are making their first appearance in the biggest game in Texas.  For the young men suiting up for Pottsboro, Post, Hamlin and Blum, it will be a thrill they will never forget.

And two schools - Aledo and Richland Springs - are shooting for immortality this week.  They will try to do something unaccomplished by any Texas high school - winning a ninth state football championship.

The storylines are set.  The gold medals and big trophies are waiting to be awarded.  It's time.  These are the 2019 Texas High School State Championship matchups:
