Scattered non severe showers and isolated storms today, especially between 3pm and 8pm. Then, all eyes to our west on a dying line of storms approaching north Texas after midnight.
Areas west of Denton and FTW have the highest chance for rain before daybreak. And then, there is tomorrow.
Rain chances will increase after midnight as an upper level low approaches from the west & moisture increases. Severe weather is not expected, but a few storms could produce locally heavy rain. Lows will range from the upper 60s to the mid 70s. #dfwwx #txwx #texomawx #ctxwx pic.twitter.com/15RaGX5YZg
— NWS Fort Worth (@NWSFortWorth) June 4, 2019All ingredients are in place for scattered super cells from 2pm to 8pm. As of now, the greatest chance for large hail and damaging wind will be south of Interstate 20, but areas north of I-20 need to keep one eye open.
By Friday early afternoon, ample sunshine returns and lasts through most of the weekend, as we heat up into the low to mid 90s. Heat index values will exceed 100 degrees for the first time this year. Good news, the heat won't last long!
It'll feel like summer this weekend with highs in the mid to upper 90s across the region. "Feels like" temperatures will be in the triple digits! If outdoors, stay hydrated & seek shaded areas! ☀️ #BeatTheHeat #dfwwx #txwx #texoamwx #ctxwx pic.twitter.com/PHpysVSI01
— NWS Fort Worth (@NWSFortWorth) June 5, 2019A late season cool front arrives Sunday afternoon bringing a slight chance of rain with it along with cooler temeratures Monday and Tuesday...plus, our dewpoints will fall from the upper 60s Sunday, to the upper 40s, as much drier air invades the area. I wouldn't be surprised that we all enjoy temperatures in the low to mid 60s both Monday and Tuesday morning, but no where near record levels.
