Storms may roll through North Texas Sunday

Weather

After a sunny and quiet start to the weekend, there's a low threat for severe weather Sunday evening.

Some sprinkles will be possible early Sunday morning, and while a few spotty showers may develop during the day, the best rain chances will hold off until evening.

That's when a strong cold front will blow through North Texas, generating showers and a few thunderstorms.

There is some chance that a few isolated storms could become severe, with the potential for hail, between 5 and 8 p.m. Sunday. More widespread non-severe storms are expected between 10 p.m. and midnight when the cold front arrives.

More widespread rain is expected Tuesday and into Wednesday morning, with continued cold temperatures. Multiple days of rain Monday night through Wednesday morning could lead to localized flooding. Be prepared and up to date with the forecast.
