Dallas Pride - Music Festival and Parade

The Dallas Pride Music Festival will feature a variety of musical and dance performances on both the outdoor main stage and on an indoor community stage. More than 200 vendors will have booths to see and shop at the festival. Family Pride Zone, an area designed for families, will feature several bounce houses, face painting, entertainment for the kids and the Pride Train ride in the Automobile Building at Fair Park. The festival also includes Teen Pride, which fosters a safe environment for LGBTQ+ youth ages 13 to 19 and their friends to enjoy live entertainment from artists and DJs, and other age-appropriate activities. Local animal rescue groups will also be on-site for guests to meet a possible new furry family member.
Sunday's Dallas Pride Parade winds its way through Fair Park on Sunday, June 2. Free to attend, the parade is a rainbow feast for the eyes, with outrageous costumes, inventive floats, bands, groups and more marching in support of the LGBTQ+ community in a mile-long event featuring more than 150 parade entries. The Dallas Pride Alan Ross Texas Freedom Parade takes place Sunday, June 2, 2 p.m. to 4:30 p.m., in Fair Park.  Admission is free. Parking is available at Fair Park for $10, or attendees may take the DART Green Line directly to Fair Park.

FWSO: Season Finale: Jennifer Higdon, Kevin Day, and Mahler 5

In partnership with the International Trombone Festival and Texas Christian University, The FWSO's season finale goes out with a blast, spotlighting the brass instruments of the orchestra. Frisco Fire Safety Saturday

Safety Town offers opportunities for families to visit on Safety Saturdays, happening three times during the year. This is a free, open house style event that does not require advance registration. Juneteenth with Black Composers

Featuring soprano Alfrelynn Roberts, renowned as much for her choral and operatic repertoire, as for her moving interpretation of spirituals.
Join us in exploring a range of musical styles in our fourth annual presentation of works by Black composers, which include the renowned 18th c. Frenchman Joseph Bologne with his elegant "Symphony No 1" and the mid- 20th C composer Florence Price with an orchestral version of her "String Quartet No 1". Extraordinary in his use of themes from African American folk music, Samuel Coleridge-Taylor's talent is displayed in the high-energy final movement "Danse Negre" from a larger work "African Suite".
Ms. Roberts performs Gospel Style spirituals by Robert L. Morris, and the famous "Peter go ring dem bells" and others by John Carter. Exploring deeper in the vocal repertoire, she brings us "Soon One Morn" by the Take 6 gospel/jazz composer Cedric Dent.

MuralFest in McKinney

Xfinity U.S. Gymnastics Championships
