47 Dogs Get A New Chance At Life

DALLAS (KRLD) - 47 dogs are getting a new chance at life thanks to the Houston Humane Society.
The Houston Humane Society says the dogs were used again and again for breeding. Spokesperson Angelina Saucedo says they were forced to live in deplorable conditions in Matagorda County.
Saucedo says, "It was a single woman living in a house in the country selling Maltese poodles and Schnauzer-mix dogs."
Officials say the dogs were forced to sleep in their own feces and were kept outside in the heat, drinking disgusting murky water and had ants all over their food.
The living conditions inside the home were even worse, Saucedo says. They even found a dog giving birth underneath the kitchen sink.
"The homeowner was not arrested but she is being investigated," said Saucedo.
Right now, the dogs are being examined and are not yet ready for adoption.
