DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Cowboys suffered yet another set back in the injury department this week, when starting CB Anthony Brown was sent to injured reserve on Saturday.
Brown surfaced on the injury report with a rib issue on Friday, and following the IR designation, must now miss at least three weeks before he is eligible to suit up again.
In Brown's place, Jourdan Lewis and Chidobe Awuzie's role's will be increased against the pass-happy Falcons, with Lewis making his timely to action return after missing week one's loss to the Los Angeles Rams with an injured ankle.
To replace his spot on the roster, the Cowboys moved up offensive tackle Eric Smith from the practice squad, helping to alleviate a depth issue at the tackle position with La'el Collins and Cameron Erving still out, and Tyron Smtih a game-time decision.
Smith was signed by the Cowboys after he spent training camp with the New York Giants.
