Move over “America’s Team” quarterback Ben Roethlisberger says the Steelers are the “World’s Team.”

“If you didn’t know who America’ Team was, you should’ve seen the stands and all the Terrible Towels,” said Roethlisberger. “Dallas may be America’s Team but we’ll be the World’s Team because we got fans everywhere and they’re the best in the world.”

Late Steelers owner Dan Rooney said in the past that the Steelers were asked if they wanted to be America’s team after beating the Cowboys in Super Bowl X, but his father and Steelers founder Art Rooney said they were Pittsburgh’s team.

Roethlisberger said he didn’t want to “take any shots at anybody,” but he’s words speak for themselves.

Some printing companies are already jumping on the World’s Team bandwagon and have t-shirts ready to go.
