Report: Mavs guard Kyrie Irving diagnosed with torn ACL

Just when you thought things couldn't get any worse for the Dallas Mavericks - they somehow do.

Mavericks' All-Star point guard Kyrie Irving suffered a torn ACL in his left knee during Monday's 122-98 loss to the Sacramento Kings, according to ESPN NBA insider Shams Charania.

Irving was injured while attacking the rim in the first quarter of Monday's game at the American Airlines Center. Irving was helped to the free-throw line where he courageously made two foul shots before being helped off the floor and into the locker room.

Irving was immediately ruled out for the rest of the game with what the organization described as a sprained knee.

The Mavericks have yet to release a formal statement on Irving's injury.

Irving was averaging 24.7 points, 4.8 rebounds and 4.6 assists.

Shan, RJ and Bobby reacted to the breaking news during cross talk with the K&C Masterpiece.
