(SportsRadio 610) -- Chiefs offensive coordinator Eric Bieniemy is considered one of the top candidates for a head coach opening in the NFL.

Bieniemy, though, has interviewed with all but one of the six teams currently with a vacant head coaching position.

According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, only the Texans have not requested an interview with Bieniemy, who Wednesday interviewed for the Jacksonville Jaguars and New York Jets vacancies. Bieniemy interviewed for the Los Angeles Chargers job Tuesday, and the Atlanta Falcons and Detroit Lions jobs on Monday.

This comes as somewhat of a surprise considering star players have spoken highly of the Chiefs' OC.

Deshaun Watson said he's heard only good things about Bieniemy, and Texans safety Justin Reid said during the season he's rooting for Bieniemy to get a head coaching job, whether in Houston or elsewhere.

The Texans have interviewed Marvin Lewis, Jim Caldwell, Indianapolis Colts defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus and Carolina Panthers offensive coordinator Joe Brady for head coach.

There is a general manager in Houston, though.

Texans insider John McClain first reported Tuesday that New England Patriots executive Nick Caserio will be hired as GM.
