According to multiple reports the deal is worth $4.5 million, with $2 milion guarenteed.

In a one-on-one interview with 105.3 The Fan's Mike Fisher last month, Lee said he "was focused" on playing in 2020.

The 33-year-old, who will turn 34 in July, played in all 16 games in 2019. It was the first time he had played an entire season in his 10-year career. He finished the year with 86 tackles, a sack, and an interception.

The Cowboys have Jaylon Smith and hopefully a healthy Leighton Vander Esch ready to go at the linebacker position next season. Vander Esch underwent surgery to repair the nerve issue in his neck in January and team officials hope he will be available during the team's offseason program.

Despite the fact that Lee had "options" available to him, bringing him back makes a lot of sense for the Cowboys.

"I love it in Dallas and I love the Cowboys," Lee told Fish. "I hope it works out, for sure."

And, it just did.
