GAME OF THE WEEK:
6A #11 CEDAR HILL (1-0) at 5AD2 #2 ALEDO (2-0)
This game was not originally on the schedule. It came together as a result of Allen canceling last week's game with Cedar Hill, after Allen High confirmed positive COVID-19 cases in the football program. Neither Cedar Hill nor Aledo wanted to have back-to-back off weeks, so they agreed to play one another this week. It's not often I call a matchup a measuring stick game for both schools, but I believe it applies here. 6A power Cedar Hill could have its hands full with defending 5AD2 state champion Aledo. The Longhorns look to make a statement over their smaller opponent. And, Aledo would love to put another 6A notch in its storied belt. The most recent action for Cedar Hill came in their season-opening win over Arlington on Oct. 2. The Aledo Bearcats have recorded wins over Frisco Lone Star and 6A Weatherford this season.
