They're the six finest words in the English language: "Rangers pitchers and catchers report today."

Those players arrive at the team's spring training complex in Surprise, Arizona to get in their first workouts ahead of position players who are due to report on February 20th.

This is the first Rangers spring training for new manager Bruce Bochy who wears three World Series rings from his 13-year stint with the Giants, including their Series win over the Rangers in 2010.

Returning to the Rangers dugout this season is pitching coach Mike Maddux who filled the same role for Texas from 2009 to 2015.

The Rangers' first spring training game is February 24. The team opens the regular season at home on March 30th, hosting the defending National League champion Phillies.
