The Cowboys entered their Week 3 matchup at Arizona with several question marks on their offensive line, and 90 minutes before kickoff, they ruled out two of their starters - right guard Zack Martin and center Tyler Biadasz.
And starting left tackle Tyron Smith will be active but is 'unlikely' to play, owner and GM Jerry Jones said on the pregame show on 105.3 The Fan. All three players were listed as questionable on the final injury report released Friday.
Martin is dealing with an ankle injury he suffered in the Cowboys' win over the Jets in Week 2, while Biadasz is suffering from a hamstring injury that required an MRI. Smith was added to the injury report on Saturday due to a knee injury. The silver lining is that there is optimism that none of the players are dealing with a significant injury and shouldn't miss an extended period of time.
"I don't see these as long-term issues at all," Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy said during his visit with radio broadcaster Brad Sham on the pregame show.
Undrafted free agent center Brock Hoffman was elevated from the practice squad and will start in place of Biadasz, undrafted free agent T.J. Bass will start in place of Martin, and veteran lineman Chuma Edoga will fill start in place of Smith.
As for the rest of the offensive line, left guard Tyler Smith will make his season debut after missing the first two weeks with a hamstring injury and Terrence Steele will start at right tackle.
Safety Donovan Wilson will make his season debut after suffering a calf injury in training camp, and wide receiver Brandin Cooks (knee) will return after a one-game absence in Week 2.
