DALLAS (105.3 The Fan) - The Dallas Mavericks reportedly reached an agreement on a contract extension for long-time wing Dorian Finney-Smith on Thursday, shortly after the expiration of the trade deadline.

The deal, which was reported as a four-year $52 million extension, will pay Finney-Smith an average of $13 million per year.

Finney-Smith has become a core piece of the Mavericks roster playing in 368 games, and starting in 256 of those games over the last six seasons.

The three-and-d wing is averaging a career-best 10.1 points and 4.8 rebounds this season.

It was the second major transaction of the day for the Mavs, who early traded Kristaps Porzingis and a second round pick to the Washington Wizards in exchange for guard Spencer Dinwiddie and Davis Bertans.
