A source has confirmed to 106.7 The Fan's The Sports Junkies that photos circulating on social media do, in fact, accurately depict Washington quarterback Dwayne Haskins partying at a strip club after Sunday's game against Seattle.
"We have been told by someone who would know, who has seen the whole Instagram story before it was made private, that it was Dwayne Haskins and it was Sunday after the game," said Junkies host John Auville on Tuesday morning.
The photos — which derived from an Instagram account that has since been made private in the early hours of Monday morning — first began circulating social media on Monday afternoon.
They appear to show Haskins flouting strict COVID-19 protocols mandated by the NFL and Washington Football Team.
Chris Russell would later report on 106.7 The Fan that the Washington Football Team is aware of the social media posts and has been in contact with the NFL about this situation.
"The organization and the team is very much aware of the posts on social media, and they have been — and are — in contact with the NFL about this situation," Russell said. "And they're handling the situation internally."
"Our full focus is on the Panthers game," a team source told Russell.
UPDATE: Dwayne Haskins has issued a public apology for the incident, confirming on Twitter he addressed it with head coach Ron Rivera on Monday.
Haskins was fined by the team earlier this season for violating COVID-19 protocols.
Haskins made his first start for Washington since Week 4 on Sunday afternoon, nearly leading Washington back from a 20-3 deficit in the fourth quarter, coming up short on the final drive.
Washington (6-8) is on the brink of the playoffs and can clinch the NFC East championship with a win over Carolina next Sunday.
