Jim Nill is going all in.

The Dallas Stars general manager acquired Carolina Panthers' superstar forward Mikko Rantanen in exchange for 22-year-old center Logan Stankoven, two conditional first-round picks and two third-round picks ahead of Friday afternoon's trade deadline.

Both clubs agreed to the framework of the trade, but it was contingent on the Stars and the 28-year-old Finnish star hammering out an extension. According to the club, Rantanen will sign an eight-year contract worth $96 million.

And that's not all the Stars accomplished on Friday...

According to Spit and Suds' insider Sean Shapiro, Dallas agreed to a five-year, $42 million extension with 21-year-old rising star Wyatt Johnston.

Another Spits and Suds insider, Robert Tiffin, hopped on with host Gavin Spittle following Nill's press conference announcing the trade and Johnston's extension.

Tiffin and Spittle discuss what Rantanen brings to the club, Johnston's extension, the Jets and Avalanche's deadline moves, and Logan Stankoven leaving.
