Last week, a woman driving on Interstate 20 in south Arlington got a flat tire. Fortunately, Officer Ghidina of APD was nearby and stopped to help. The entire incident was captured on his body cam.

The policeman pulled over to assist the stranded driver and her son. Officer Ghidina offered to wait with the car while the mother and kid walked to a nearby convenience store. Roadside assistance arrived to fix the vehicle while she was gone so the patrolman paid for her service.

When she returned to her car, the generous cop notified her that the car was finished. She asked if the mechanic gave him a deal, and he kindly explained that he paid out of his own pocket. The lady initially declined the offer, but Officer Ghidina was insistent and told her, "Merry Christmas."

He then followed the mother and son to ensure they could drive safely with a spare tire and eventually finished his shift. Officer Ghidina didn't mention the good deed to anyone when it took place on December 9th. A few days later, family members contacted the Arlington Police Department to thank and recognize Officer Ghidina's kind gesture. APD posted the footage on Thursday.
