The Guinness World Records has certified that an American Airlines flight attendant has set the record for longevity on the job.
Bette Nash is 86-years-old and has been flying with American Airlines for 65 years. She started in 1957 when airfares on many routes were just $12.
Nash says she remembers the days when flight attendants, then known as stewardesses, wore white gloves and served meals that included meat carved to order right at the passenger's seat.
Nash is now based in Boston and mostly flies American's daily shuttles from Logan International to Washington D.C. and back.
