Heritage Auctions in Dallas just sold a Mickey Mantle baseball card for a record $12.6 million, now it's selling off some stunning jewelry once owned by a North Texas philanthropist.

The collection is from Sammons heiress Mary Anne Sammons Cree who died in July of 2021. The jewels are being auctioned to raise money for the Communities Foundation of Texas which works with donors and non-profits to help fund local projects in communities usually involving the arts, education, healthcare and urban beautification.

The collection includes a stunning 17.6 carat yellow diamond ring that experts say could fetch up to $400,000 and matching earrings that could bring in another $100,000 or more.

There are 125 pieces in the collection that also includes bracelets and necklaces.

Online bidding is already underway. Bidding will continue thru September 29th. Heritage hopes the aution will raise more than $1.5 million for charities.
