Michael Duncan loves the show Yellowstone so much, he wanted to get in on the action himself.  So, he bought a horse.

Duncan purchased Jack, a carriage horse at the Fort Worth Stockyards, for $3,000.

Duncan renamed Jack “Sheriff,” the nickname of his favorite football player Peyton Manning, and the two have become rather notable for their appearances at various bars in Deep Ellum and Lower Greenville.

Duncan told NBC DFW, “He was a carriage horse at the Fort Worth Stockyards. He pulled the carriages around there. So, he was kind of used to big crowds.”

Together, Duncan and Sheriff wander through bars, restaurants, and even Walmart together.

Mostly bars and sports bars and patios and some restaurants. He's been in four or five-star hotels,” Duncan said. “I've never walked in without permission. Most of the time we go to areas like, Greenville Avenue or Stockyards, Deep Ellum.

Even though he is only 19, Duncan says that Sheriff is still allowed into bars around town.  “I do have a fake I.D. that says he's 21,” Duncan revealed. “So, he can go to the bars.

Duncan never even sat on a horse before Sheriff, who he’s now owned for two years.  He doesn’t believe their relationship will end any time soon, either. “I’ve been offered over $50,000 for him now and $20,000 a bunch of times," Duncan said.

He’s rejected every offer so he can continue going to bars with his friend, which he never does for money.

“When people message me and it's a fun place, we'll just come hit different areas every week,” Duncan said.
