It's bad news if you want to sell your home but great news if you're a buyer.

North Texas home prices have dropped for the fourth month in a row based on numbers from October, the most recent month where sales figures have been tabulated.

The October average price dipped 1.3% from September. Based on the S&P Core Logic Case-Shiller Index, the September price by the same token, was off more than 2% from August.

The four-month dip from July to October followed a record pace of increase at the start of the year.
