Texas has been a bit spoiled in recent years, as seemingly every study ranking cities and states across the country in different categories has placed the lone star state at or near the top of the list. However, sometimes those first place finishes end up being a bit more negative than positive. Such is the case with a recent report that named Dallas as the city with the most unhappy workers.

While most employees aren’t thrilled when at work, apparently Dallas takes that unhappiness to another level. According to a study conducted by job website Lensa, Dallas beat out 29 other major cities to be named the city with the most unhappy workers. The study looked at four factors to determine the rankings; vacation days taken, hours worked per week, average pay, and overall happiness.

Overall, Texas was the worst of the all 50 states in terms of employee happiness, as Houston was ranked third on the list as well, according to Dallas Culture Map. While workers may not be happy, it seems to be because of the amount of time spent working. Some may say that’s a negative, but in DFW; that’s just another reason to celebrate being number one.
