If you've been a fan of Six Flags Over Texas from the beginning, maybe one of your favorite memories is taking a ride on the Chaparral Antique Cars, a ride that has been operating continuously since 1962.

Well, those cars are no more as the park has announced they'll be re-theming that ride into the "Dino Off-Road Adventure" this Summer. There will be 13 animatronic dinosaurs along the ride’s route.

Six Flags also announced a couple of new rides designed for younger patrons including the Sylvester and Tweety Pounce & Bounce. The ride is a family drop tower that lifts riders 41 feet in the air before beginning a sequence of downward 'pounces' and upward 'bounces.'

Six Flags also announces the return of the Daffy Duck Bucket Blasters. That's a spinning ride that features water blasters so riders can spray each other while the ride is in motion. It was closed for three years to allow for the construction of the new Aquaman: Power Wave Coaster ride that is scheduled to open to park guests on Saturday, March 11.

“Six Flags Over Texas is known for providing innovative thrills and delivering the special moments that create fond family memories,” said Six Flags Over Texas Park President Richard Douaihy. “We are so excited to introduce Aquaman: Power Wave to legions of thrill seekers, and we feel that Spring Break is the perfect time for the grand opening of this epic new attraction,” added Douaihy.

Aquaman: Power Wave is the 14th roller coaster at Six Flags Over Texas.
