Tulane and USC have been confirmed as the opponents in the January 2nd Cotton Bowl Classic at AT&T Stadium in Arlington.
At 11-2, Tulane won the American Athletic Conference championship game, downing Central Florida 45-28.
Southern Cal lost out on a berth in the College Football Playoff tournament by losing to Utah in Friday's Pac-12 Championship game. So, they have accepted an invitation to the Cotton Bowl.
This will be the Trojans third appearance. It's the first Cotton Bowl for Tulane.
