The Roosevelt Hotel
The Roosevelt is hotel royalty in New Orleans. The dazzling lobby, outfitted with glittering chandeliers and mosaic floors, may actually blind you. The excessive luxury has attracted celebrities for decades, starting in the late 19th century as a beacon for jazz legends passing through town. A visit to the hotel's Sazerac Bar, where bartenders invented famous drinks like the Ramos Gin Fizz, is nearly required for any drinker of good drinks.
