An hours-long standoff came to an end without any injuries Thursday morning at an apartment complex in Northeast Dallas, police say.

Officers responded late Wednesday night to reports of a person with a gun inside an apartment in the 5900 block of Sandhurst Lane, Dallas police said. Several residents said they heard what they believed to be gunshots.

The SWAT team waited the person out and they were arrested after 7 a.m. Thursday. Authorities gave residents who had been evacuated the OK to go back inside.

Police said they do not believe there was anyone else inside the the apartment and there were no apparent injuries.
