
One person was arrested Friday after a report of a suspicious package in a vehicle near a Cinemark in Cedar Hill, police say.
The incident took place just before 1 p.m. near the Cinemark in the 200 block of Uptown Boulevard, near U.S Highway 67 and Belt Line Road.
The Dallas police bomb squad responded and cleared the vehicle, determining there was no explosive device inside.
Residents were asked to avoid the area for a couple of hours Friday afternoon.
