Since October started with 90-degree weather and a month full of 80-degree temperatures, our average temperature was 75.7 degrees topping the previous high of 74.1 back in 2016.
Our average high temp each day was 85.5 degrees. It was also the 9th driest October on record with less than a quarter inch of rainfall during the month.

The Halloween showers and thunderstorms put an official end to the rain-free streak of nothing day after day more than a trace in the rain gauge at Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport. This streak reached 35 days to slot at 23rd on the list of Consecutive Days without Measurable Precipitation, according to statistics from the National Weather Service in Fort Worth.
