The last of the men arrested for the robbery and shooting death of a former OU football player learned his fate.
26-year-old Erick Garcia of Dallas gets 28 years in prison for his role in the murder of Du'Vonta Lampkin. Garcia cut a deal with prosecutors and pleaded guilty to reduced charges to avoid a life sentence.
Lampkin was killed in 2022 during a robbery outside his AirBnB near downtown Dallas.
Last week a jury convicted the mastermind, Antwan Franklin, of capital murder and sentenced him to life without parole.
A third man was acquitted of charges.
