
ALBANY, N.Y. (WBEN) - Governor Andrew Cuomo said that there are 421 total cases of coronavirus in New York State.
Approximately 3,200 people have been tested for coronavirus in the state. The total number of cases increased from 96 on Thursday.
"Fifty out of the 421 cases (are hospitalized)," Cuomo said. "Eighteen are in intensive care."
In Western New York, there is only one confirmed case from Monroe County. There are no confirmed cases of coronavirus in Erie County.
Governor Cuomo issued executive orders waiving a seven-day waiting period for anyone who was laid off or unemployed as a result of quarantine or the virus.
New York State currently has the most confirmed cases of coronavirus in the United States.
