Midlothian (1080 KRLD)- It's been 5 years and still no answers in the murder of Missy Bevers.
In 2016, Bevers went inside the Creekside Church of Christ to set up for a fitness class she was teaching. Police found her body with puncture wounds to her head and chest.
Video from the church shows a person dressed in police tactical gear walking around the church before Bevers arrives. The suspect is thought to be 5'8 and at the time had a distinctive walk.
In a statement, police say they don't not consider this case to be a cold case and have brought in a former federal agent who has the primary responsibility of looking at the Bevers case.
Police are also looking for more information about a car seen in video from the parking lot of a nearby business.
"The vehicle appears consistent with a 2010-2012 Nissan Altima, 2010-2012 Infinity G37 or similar vehicle," police say.
To date, investigators say they have received over 3,000 tips and are still receiving tips from all over the world and over the past year, investigators have traveled across Texas and other states to follow up on new leads.
