A Fort Worth convenience store has been ordered to pay more than $20,000 in back wages to 21 employees.
The federal Department of Labor has ruled against Gaston Group which runs the 7-Eleven on West 7th near Summit Avenue.
The department says the company "...failed to pay 21 employees for all hours worked, leading to minimum wage and overtime violations."
The Labor Department's Dallas Wage and Hour District Director Jesus Valdez says "...employees must be paid for all hours worked, not just those that an employer schedules them to work."
In addition to back wages, the company owes $35,000 in damages and penalties.
